A proposal for a NEW "first in the nation" primary state
Ohio.

Yes, Ohio.

Why, you might ask?

Simple, Columbus, Ohio is market testing central. Columbus, Ohio is the single best place to field test any idea or marketing campaign because Columbus, Ohio is considered by the marketing industry to be a microcosm of the nation.

Democrats should expend as much in the way of funds to hold their primary in Ohio on January 8, 2008 as the first primary in the nation, even before the Republicans hold a single primary. Whomsoever wins would get a HUGE BOOST and would thus, likely be the candidate.

Stop this BS of Iowa and New Hampshire and utilize the information others (read corporations) have expended funding on to insure we have the best potential candidate for the election. Corporate America knows that as Columbus goes, so goes the nation. It cost them a lot of money and marketing campaigns since this discovery have proven to find accurate information in Columbus.

1. I believe New Hampshire has a law requiring them to go first
even if it means holding their primary in December.

2. we do-
and we need (and detest) the 1st in the nation primary-

Live free or die- no helmet laws, no seatbelt laws, no sales or income tax, and don't forget, the "old man in the mountain's FACE fell off under *W*'s 'rule'-

We were the first colony among the 13 to declare indepence from England, and we're wierd- Stone faced, and stone aged- small enough for 'potentials' to really get microscopicly viewed-

for more on the first in the nation info-

<http://www.nh.gov/nhinfo/manual.html>

i personally like the fact that potential presidents have to be willing to 'endure' the harshness of our winters, and the scrutiny of the 'granite' natives- who can be 'hard' to crack, but endure alot-

3. "old man in the mountain's FACE fell off "
Wasn't that right after they issued the new quarter?

There was another state that something similar happened after the quarter was issued, but I can't remember which it was.
