Investigations into 9-11 Saudi flights?

Two Democratic House members from South Florida, Peter Deutsch and Robert Wexler, are calling for an investigation into how Bush administration officials allowed about 140 Saudi nationals to leave the country in the days after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

At a time when all private aviation was grounded, top officials allowed charter flights to pick up Saudis around the country and then leave for Saudi Arabia, according to reports in Vanity Fair and The Tampa Tribune.

The group included some members of the royal family and some relatives of Osama bin Laden. The departures occurred as investigators learned that 15 of the 19 hijackers in the Sept. 11 attacks were from Saudi Arabia, and some Saudi officials said they feared a backlash against their citizens.

Deutsch and Wexler requested the General Accounting Office to launch a formal investigation of the incident.

1. The funny this is...

Nobody will admit authorizing it. The FBI says not them, the White House won't admit it. Hearings are needed. We at least should know who gave the order, and how high up in the Chain of command they went.

Did the President give the order? Did Cheney let him in on it?

2. Great News - and it only took them two years.

Maybe 20 years from now we'll have an investigation into one of the other 8,000 unanswered questions. And 20 years after that we could probably ask another. Who knows - the possibilities are endless.

3. We're overlooking a hugh injustice

140 Saudis are allowed to leave the country with _________'s approval and no FBI interference whatsoever, even though at least one of them is on a FBI/CIA watchlist.


Meanwhile, in downtown USA, a thousand or so ((remember nobody knows the exact number because it would compromise national security) men of "Middle Eastern descent" are rousted from their homes and led off for interrogation without access to lawyers, judges, families, or due process.

We've totally missed that injustice which is quite real while concentrating on the Bin Laden family alone.

4. The BFEE spaghetti is hitting the fan!

The Bush Organized Crime Family has so many simultaneous scandals, conspiracies, and treasons going at once, they actually believe they can get away with it. Too bad. Every day, more and more of We the People are on to them. And the People are getting pretty ticked off.

The Little Turd from Crawford and Sneering Dick and the rest of the crooks are going to jail — IF they're lucky.
