Clark is a fine candidate |

I'm getting a little tired of all the constant hit posts directed at Clark. Whether he wins or loses, he is really helping the Dems in raising awareness and adding excitement to the campaign, so more people (read general potential voter) will pay attention. He also brings credibility just by being in the race to the Dems on the national security issue.

1. His statement today was a bit unnerving. |
|
Jeez, my enthusiasm was based on him being an anti-war candidate. A military one at that. Now he's another DLCer.

2. no different than the hits many other candidates are taking |
|
His comments on his "probably" vote for Iraqi resolution are proper to be discussed and debated. To a lesser degree his backtracking on debates (he may have a committment he can't get out of and if so, fine), and his "probably" voted for Nixon and Reagan. That makes me a bit uneasy, but people can change.

4. i'm sure he is a good man |
|
looking forward to hearing him talk about the issues. what i really want to know is if he would appoint justices to the supreme court ONLY if they are prochoice. i know he is prochoice, but i want a gaurantee all the justices he appoints would be supportive of roe v wade.

5. Information on Roe v. Wade |
|
I heard on a talk show tonight that he has clearly stated that Roe v. Wade needs to stay in force in its original form.

6. It's the front-runner perception |
|
That explains the shots at Dean and at Clark. Personally, I'm still a Dean man, though Clark has jumped right to #2 on my list. I'm still hoping for a Dean/Clark ticket.

I'd still like to see a Dean-Bush fight even if it's not secure.
