I'd take Mulroney. At least he wasn't a bigot.

1. How about...
...I take eight years of Howard Dean and tell the neocons to go take a flying leap?

3. I feel the same way about Brian Mulroney
that I do about bush! It's a seething, furrowed-brow-hatred kinda thing.

Couldn't even watch Canadian Idol because his son, Ben was the MC - me still bitter? You bet!

5. Whatttttt?????????
Surely you aren't saying that you object to Mr. Mulroney selling off half of Canada to American business interests!? (Read-Oil interests). Just kidding, of course. While I am not Canadian, many of my dearest friends reside in that wonderful place. My wife is from the plains (Manitoba), we have freqently discussed moving our careers there, because of the difference in the attitude toward education. Kudos to Canada for getting rid of their trash; wish we would do the same.

4. I'd take Mulroney because
all he could wreck would be my country. Reagan and Thatcher could ruin the world.

6. Of course, Mulroney did push through the GST tax
even though 80% of Canadians were against it. He even went on his hands and knees to the queen to beg her permission to pack the Senate with 20 new permanent million-dollar senators whose sole mission in life was to help him ram his tax through. And he did kiss up to Reagan and Thatcher every chance he got.

7. imagine Brian and Dubya onstage, singing "Yellow Rose of Texas"!
I swear, I haven't recovered from the Brian-Ronnie "Irish Eyes are Smiling" duet. There was a wonderful sendup of it on "Air Farce", where they had Reagan discovering that his ancestors were actually Norwegian and NOT Irish, whereupon smarmy ol' Brian chimes in with "My grandmother came from Oslo!"
