OK ppl, WHO is REALLY gonna win this week |
|
I mean Frist wouldnt go Nuclear THIS WEEK if he DIDNT have the votes. NO, he MUST Have bought off, paid, threated, etc. the 7 Reps that were going to cross over. If hes doing it this week, he MUST have them. And what if he DOES? Durbin said they would NOT shut down the Senate although they MUST. WHat is your opinion?

Because we care more about this issue than the 12% drugged up and brainwashed child molesting Dobsons.

I know Frist doesn't have the votes either if he's letting this still go on. I think the people who he's trying to get to help him probably could care less. The people who do care already know their position and wrote to these Senators who are on the fence. I just don't know how they're going to vote with this issue. A lot of the times they talk a big talk but then they turn around and vote party-line anyways which doesn't do any good. I hope if they do get rid of the filibuster the democrats walk out except when security issues come up or something. And ALL of them stay out (including Biden and Liberman).

I really do. If the dems are not going to stand up to this, in every legal way possible, then they have abrogated their responsibility to every single one of their constituents.
The polls are clear: The country does not want the filibuster gone. The public largely gets it, and in that, they are more "conservative" than a boatload of Frists.
