What alot of people here fail to understand (imo) is that progressive change comes through social revolution, and that politics is an extension of that. That's why im a pragmatist with the Dem party, because if i werent i would be on the sidelines bitching about the need to abolish the republic as it currently is.
Here's a question: "If you want to get Bush out of office, who is the best person to do that in combination with being the closest to your ideological values?" All of the Main Candidates are centrist-Dems/liberal conservatives, so if youre offended by that, the question i think then becomes "do you want to vote 3rd party and take the chance of allowing Bush back in?" Im not in favour of the latter, so centrist-Dem it is for me.
Edit: Grammar, Spelling, etc.

1. See my new post about extremes... |
|
Extremists don't care about being pragmatic because there 'right' and the rest of us have to pay for being 'wrong.'

2. I will vote for any of the Dem candidates in Nov. 2004 |

Bush must go ASAP.
But Dean is electable, I tell ya!
A lot of moderates like his message of economic responsibility. And his upholding of the concept of states' rights HAS to play well in the South, as he is not just paying it lip-service like Bush does.
