& Whatcha' Gonna' Say if Demon Clark becomes the VP of |
|
the greatest, most honorable, decent, really liberal (cough, cough), best governor, hates corporate Amureka, most pure Democrat who ever walked planet Earth ---HOWIE THE DEAN???? Oh, do I hear back track, back track, track back and spinning that would make Rove proud??? I demand that if Dean becomes the nominee he pickes a fellow soul mate like Dennis or Sharpton or Ralph Nadar or, you know, people that he seems to be selling himself as being. If he picks Clark, I will know that Dean is a lying, hypocrite.........correct?--I DEMAND PURE (and I'm sure getting it from Dean--pure "what" will surface, eventually).

Dean if from a politically unimportant state. One general who is spitting on the war is okay. He has the stars to back it up. If he put Dean on the ticket, it delutes things to look like he's as anti-defense as the repukes always paint the liberals. It's overkill. He will pick another southern boy like Edwards in order to do the double bang on the South like Clinton and Gore did.

That wasn't your premise. What are you going to say if Dean picks Clark as you posited? Will you continue to mock Dean?

34. As a Clark supporter who also like Dean (and his non-bashing supporters) |
|
I don't have a problem with Dean as a running mate if Clark gets the nomination. I am sure that there are one or two Clark supporters around here that attacked Dean, but for the most part we have not. We have not backed ourselves into a wall on this issue.
There are quite a few Dean supporters attacking Clark. Before they attacked Clark, they attacked every other Democratic candidate.

I don't think Wesley Clark would want to ruin his career by being associated with the inevitable trainwreck that would be a Dean WH run.

11. Dear Centrist--put down your DLC newsletter |

and realize that if Dean gets the nomination, he will trounce Dumbo.
I truly believe Clark will accept the VP slot--he probably should have just waited out--the expectations are so high for Clark that he wont be able to deliver, and if he comes across as anything less than the Messiah, he will start getting negative press.
Except, of course, from Tweety, who gets an erection when Clark is near.

No governor from Vermont (who most people probably can't point out on a map) will be elected President. It is a state of less than a million people with little to no minorities and no real relevance to anything. Yes, Dean did yada yada in Vermont, and so that = it working nationally? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

did you forget the last democratic president, a former governor from the small, "irrelevant" state Arkansas? Apparently. ANd I never argued that no generals had been president. Rather, I stated that no general has been president in 50 years, and no dem has for a much longer period. And, Clark is unlike nearly every other general who has been elected in recent memory: He has no superstar role from a defining conflict that changed the nation (Eisenhower had star power from WWII).

It seems to me that since you can't refute anything, you just insist on calling people names, and if that doesn't fail to convince, you can always trot out your oh-so-clever "Kucinich, Dean, or Green?" That's a hit with the kids and sure to knock 'em dead every time. Seriously, until you start backing up your posts with facts, you will continue to alienate people from even looking at your positions and/or considering Clark.

29. If Clark does not get the nomination and Dean does |
|
I think he will probably need Clark as the VP, any candidate will because the media has created a need for a candidate strong on National Security. They will tout this issue to the extreme unless there is a candidate who can refute it with his mere presence, then it is not worth the time and effort. I would not go as far as to say that Dean can trounce *, I think that a Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean ticket has a very good chance of beating *, perhaps the best but it is a long time before the election, alot can happen. By the way I prefer a clark/Dean ticket but when I respond to a Dean supporter or an undecided I usuaully post the Dean/Clark ticket first out of respect for the fact that Dean was in the race first and in fact he is the front runner right now, if that changes I will post Clark/Dean first. Just trying to be respectful to those I might end up working with because the nomination is nowhere wrapped up by anyone, and I will work my but off for whoever the nominee is.

You must be kidding - Dean is a right-winger, the opposite of Kucinich Sharpton or Nader, and Nader's not even a Democrat. What's the point of this anyway?
The Clark people have official surpassed the Dean people as the most ridiculous candidate pimpers of DU, in my opinion. McAullife has obviously been paying attention to the Dean internet machine - God help us all!
