What does it mean if the CA Appeals Ct decides election can go forth? |

In effect, they will be saying that the punch card ballots are OK. Hanging chads are OK. The election in Florida has been validated in George Bush's favor because those that complained about the ballots really did not have a legitimate claim? The US Supreme Court was correct in their decision. Is this how the right-wing propagandists that run this country would interpret their decision?
(edit - added word "would")

I think either way the pukes are toast on this one. What does it ultimately mean? Either Davis beats the recall or Bustamante is the new governor. The situation in California is so dire that Arnold's bromides, evasions, show biz razzmatazz and vagueness won't cut it like it could have during good times. People want serious answers, I think, and that's why his campaign flounders.

2. I take it you say 'his campaign flounders' |
|
based on poll reports...this is a peeve of mine...why trust polls when they go the way we want (this one) and not when they go the other way (Bush's popularity)?

But you must admit he has uniformly sunk in polls across the board. I would call that pretty good preponderance of evidence.

6. It can be spun either way - but my take is that |
|
stopping of the vote, followed by a USSC non-review, means the Gove v Bush is now law of the land - despite the do not depend on this wording.
If the Appeal is a reversal and a go ahead, and again no USSC review, it is the opposite ruling by the USSC compared to Gore v Bush - and the USSC is shown to be political.
If the USSC reviews and actually makes a ruling, I lose a bit of money! (never put your money where your mouth is!) :-)
