About that $87 Billion
OK, so the Democrats don't want to look like they're hanging the army out to dry (nor do they want to be actually doing it) but on the other hand, they gotta make some kind of stand about this or it will be nothign but blank checks to the end of the chapter.

How about, "OK, Bush, we'll give you your $87 billion...but not a dime of it is going to any Halliburton subsidiary. Please line up some Iraqi construction and oil-drilling firms who are not owned by Cheney's pals and get some bids from them."

Is there anyone in the Capitol who's proposing this? Because to me, that's the main problem with the $87 billion, I mean apart from the bankruptcy: that it's all going straight into Cheney's back pocket.

Grr,

The Plaid Adder

2. I Would Like To See Full Accountability
With investegations and enforcement based on the "conflict of interest" laws now on the books.

Iraqi companies should certainly be involved. It would go a long way to pump money into their economy and build good diplomatic relations with the people in general.

3. Nothing but "priming the pump" IMO
Funny how all of a sudden Oil Dick not only claims we need that staggering sum on top of the other staggering amounts but...it won't be enough. Hell...back in Jan/Feb we could do the job in Iraq for about $12.52 according to Chimpboy,Cheney and his thugs.

So,NOW Oil Dick wants ALL Murikans to get these huge amounts stuck in their head. Thats because when him and Halliburton and others go for the big,big Oil grab (which they will rape for decades)the American people supposedly won't bitch about it. After all,we the taxpayers deserve the Oil money for the billions we spent.

If anyone believes that taxpayers will see this money back from Iraqi Oil their on the wrong planet. Give it some time and Oil Dick and his buddies at Halliburton might make Bill Gates net worth look like chicken shit money.
