How to run away dedicated liberal activists, at least on this board....
keep up the crazed, knee jerk, uninformed bashing of a wonderful man, Wesley Clark, who may be the only candidate capable of liberating US from the bushistas.

1. We who support Dean have put up with it.
Non-stop for weeks.

That said, I don't think any of us should be doing this.

4. I ALSO support Dean. He's my second favorite, and that's a close call
It does seem that the mania about Clark is worse. Before Clark entered the race Dean was my #1. I didn't feel the weight of hostility I'm sensing now.

2. Or...
...by bashing other candidates by telling us they're not capable.

Pot, meet kettle.

3. Is your point that any and all critiques of Clark are "uninformed bashing?

7. All I've heard or read is unsubstantiated hyperbole.
And, btw, I listened to "Democracy Now" this morning. I did not hear Amy Goodman give any opinion about Clark (maybe I missed something). She had two differing commentators present their sides. Fair and balanced really DOES happen on this program.

5. Sadly, this kind of stuff is necessary, I think
I don't like it, but it's part of the primary game, and part of the process of toughening up candidates for the general election.

Whoever the Dem nominee ends up being, he/she will end up a stronger candidate by learning to counter these attacks properly.

Of course, that doesn't make it fun.

6. If you really want to run off the liberal activists
just keep insisting that Clark is the only hope of the Democratic Party and putting down anyone who has sincere reservations about him.

8. I'm NOT insisting on that. As I've repeated ad nauseum,
I'm also a huge fan of Dean. I just like Clark better!!

I didn't complain during the Dean bashing because it was nowhere as extreme. The antagonism seems totally unreasonable and truly hysterical. And, like it or not, many of the rumors have been planted by rightwingers, who are absolutely terrified of a Clark candidacy.

12. That does seem to be the Clark fan's modus operandi...
"Stampede 'em before they have time to think."

:grr:

10. Squashing dissent about dissenting opinions is just as unpatriotic
HELLO! We Clark supporters are not John Ashcroft clones!!!

11. Other then Sharpton
any of the declared candidates can beat bush. To claim that Clark is the only one is ridiculous.
