Who in their right mind would DEFEND the "Patriot" act? |
|
Besides (KGB) Ashcroft, that is. You have to see "RH Junior's" frantic and futile attempts to defend Assholecroft and the "Patriot" act. http://www.livejournal.com/users/rhjunior/

2. It contains a very interesting codicil |

The Attorney General of the United States is allowed to declare anyone he wants a supporter of terrorism for any reason he wants and slap them in Guantanamo.
By this logic, when we get a real president like...well, pick one of the ten who are running...and a real AG like William Jefferson Clinton in there, after we trace back the Bush family's ties to the Bin Ladens, we can declare the entire BFEE to be supporters of terrorism and have them in irons and on the way to a dog kennel in Cuba before they get the bunting off the inaugural reviewing stand.
Be careful of what you wish for, George, because you just might get it.

3. People who are afraid of terrorists |
|
and don't really understand how much power it takes away from them as American citizens. If more people truly understood how abused that power has been, very few people would support it. Ignorance is bliss in cases such as this. So, fear and ignorance is what would allow people to think it's a good thing.
