Thursday Evening Update From Andy

Hi everyone,

I have been unable to post for the past few days due to being here in Baltimore as one of Andy's "On the Ground" Angels... The last 48 hours have been really something special. I believe that in being here while this life-saving surgery was done, I have been privileged to witness a miracle.

Johns Hopkins and its staff have been just wonderful to Andy, and to those of us who are here to help him. As per his doctor's orders and the usual post op procedure, Andy did get out of bed and walk all the way around the hallway on his floor two separate times today. He is progressing OK but obviously after such a major cancer surgery he isn't out of the woods yet. He is on pain meds and although he would like to be able to get online with you guys, this needs to wait a bit longer. I am going to print out as many of your posts as I can from the last two days and take them to Andy in the AM.

When I left Johns Hopkins this evening Andy said to tell you that he is very tired and in a lot of pain right now, but he IS going to be OK and get better. He loves "yall" so much.
