Lies &LLTTT making me emotional
Up to the chapter on Wellstone...the Frist/Dave Wellstone conversation...its uneblievable...its making me quite emotional, actually.

Anyone else ever have that kind of reaction to a political book?

1. Don't have much experience
with political books. It's not something I choose for my reading.

2. I read all the political books
(and lots more) and you are right. That chapter left me in tears... sorrow, anger, loss. Everyone I talk to about the book has had the same reaction.

4. I saw that book at the library yesterday and debated whether to get it.
Maybe I should. I am finally reading that Greg Palast book. Talk about a book that angers..

5. Wow
I just finished the chapter...and it only got more emotional from there on out.

When I started this thread, it was in response to Frist showing up @ Paul's memorial, giving the family his condolences, and then David confronting him for giving the OK on an attack ad on a bill that Lott, Frist, Thurmond, AND WELLSTONE supported.

Now I've gone to the end. And the thugs all told Al that they never saw the memorial, but denounced it anyways. They didn't care.

Tucker actually said "you people think that politics can change people's lives."

Go tell that to a soldier who gets to go to college thanks to the politics of the GI bill, Tucker. Go tell it to the families who got low-income housing thanks to the politics of HUD, Tucker. Go tell it to the senior- back in time, of course- able to retire and live thier final years in peace thanks to the politics of Social Security, Tucker.

And then go shove it up your @ss.
