Listening to press conf I had forgotten how unfuckingbelievably stupid Bush is
He is the stupidest president ever. Simple minded, defensive, talks like a simpleton - how the FUCK did this ass hole make it into the White House? I was in a good mood today then they played a clip of this ass-hat on AAR and I was beside myself freaked out at how unabashedly STUPID that war criminal chimp is. Man, we must be the dumbest country on the planet...

59. Yes - BINGO - the "jaw thing" is becoming more pronounced. Definitely
He usually does the weird "jaw thing" after making a declarative statement of some kind, and it has the effect of negating what he just said. He is, frankly, not believable. How can the press sit there and sop this shit up for five frikkin years and barely make a peep of the truth is beyond me.

Here's the first few lines...

GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES : Good day. Thank you. Please be seated. Hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend.

My message to Congress when they come back is this: that our economy is strong, but we need to work together to make sure that we continue to have a prosperous economy, so people can find jobs.

I say it's strong because we've added over 3.5 million new jobs over the last two years and the unemployment rate is 5.2 percent. More Americans are working today than ever before. Homeownership is an all-time high. Small businesses are flourishing. Families are taking home more of what they earn.

Obviously, these are hopeful signs. But Congress can make sure that the signs remain hopeful. Here are four good things they need to do.

First, they need to finish the work on an energy bill. We've gone more than a decade with an energy strategy.

I'm just dyin' to find out if he actually said "Homeownership is an all-time high". :smoke:

That last sentence in my quote is a typical * screw-up, but "Homeownership is an all-time high" would be friggin' priceless!

"More Americans are working today than ever before." Ever before when? "Homeownership is an all-time high." For who, the rich? Small business are flourishing." Except the ones that aren't, I see "going out of business" sign frequently in my city, of long established business'. "Families are taking home more of what they earn." And paying more for just about everything, George. For instance, "food to put on their families." Out of touch with everyday average Muricans, he is.

79. Well, lie numero uno:
More Americans are working than even before, eh? Well, that's not true. The unemployment rate in either 1999 or 2000, I forget which, was 4 percent. I know Commander Cuckoobananas' math skills are probably on par with his verbal abilities, but surely even he knows that 5.2 is a bigger number than 4.

86. Even the 5.2% unemployment rate is misleading
The number of people who simply CANNOT find work and have stopped looking are no longer counted as part of the "work force". The actual rate is probably closer to 8% than 5%. So not only is Bush lying when he says 5.2% is better than 4%, but he's deliberately misleading people on the actual work force situation.

Plus, many of those new jobs being created are "service" jobs or McManufacturing labor. We lose $60,000/yr jobs and gain minimum wage jobs. How the hell is that a good thing?

37. "Disassemble"
"that means to not tell the truth" <--the asshole about 8 hours ago

<<THE PRESIDENT: Terry.

Q Thank you, sir. Mr. President, recently, Amnesty International said you have established "a new gulag" of prisons around the world, beyond the reach of the law and decency. I'd like your reaction to that, and also your assessment of how it came to this, that that is a view not just held by extremists and anti-Americans, but by groups that have allied themselves with the United States government in the past -- and what the strategic impact is that in many places of the world, the United States these days, under your leadership, is no longer seen as the good guy.

THE PRESIDENT: I'm aware of the Amnesty International report, and it's absurd. It's an absurd allegation. The United States is a country that is -- promotes freedom around the world. When there's accusations made about certain actions by our people, they're fully investigated in a transparent way. It's just an absurd allegation.

In terms of the detainees, we've had thousands of people detained. We've investigated every single complaint against the detainees. It seemed like to me they based some of their decisions on the word of -- and the allegations -- by people who were held in detention, people who hate America, people that had been trained in some instances to disassemble -- that means not tell the truth. And so it was an absurd report. It just is. And, you know -- yes, sir. >>

Uh, NO, it doesn't. FOOL.

Nobody dared correct him ...

"I don't know why you're talking about Sweden," Bush said. "They're the neutral one. They don't have an army."

Lantos paused, a little shocked, and offered a gentlemanly reply: "Mr. President, you may have thought that I said Switzerland. They're the ones that are historically neutral, without an army." Then Lantos mentioned, in a gracious aside, that the Swiss do have a tough national guard to protect the country in the event of invasion.

Bush held to his view. "No, no, it's Sweden that has no army."

The room went silent, until someone changed the subject."

Sad...very fucking sad.

They support him in medialand, but no Republican I know will admit to supporting him. Maybe in RW areas they do, but not around here where people are expected to actually USE their brains :D lol

80. Man...
I wish I lived where you do, Mr_Spock! Yeah, pretty much all the Rightist douches in WV let everyone know how much they love the Fuhrer and everything about him. One of my neighbors has a fifteen foot tall GOD BLESS PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH sign in his front yard. Every morning, when I walk past it I think, "Hmm. Both tacky and a solemn reminder of the dangers of a cult of personality."

83. No Shit...
I wish I had a digital camera so's I could's show's ya. The guy has a lot of property, his house is set back, on a hillside. Up front, toward the road, he has his four section plywood sign, big as life. It's been vandalized on occasion, eggs, paintballs, etc., and the owner always fixes it right up, after wasting the time of the police, of course. Don't ask what the hell he's thinking, I make it a point to not interact with asshats that have giant proclamations of idiocy on display for all to see. My guess is that he's just a hardcore Redneckapublican douche, judging from the mullet and constant assault of country music emanating from his homestead. He put it up right before the election last November. I keep hoping that the sign will attract lightning, or blow into his truck or house and damage them, or something. Why didn't you ever see Dems doing this kind of thing after Clinton won a second term? Oh, right, the lack of religiously fueled low-grade insanity. My bad.

Oh yeah, legacy/connections/money.

How did he even graduate from college?

Oh yeah, legacy/connections/money.

How did he get into graduate school?

Oh yeah, connections/money.

How did he graduate from graduate school?

How did he get any job he's ever held in his life?

Oh yeah, legacy/connections/money.

That guy has never earned a single thing on his own in his whole life.

How sad.

He really says some just totally dumb & uninformed things. I know he uses this "idiot charm" thing to his advantage, but one of his professors at Harvard Business School could NOT for the life of him figure out how someone so STUPID got into that school. Now, there are different definitions of stupid, but I personally think W fit's into any definition you can come up with.

71. I have been on this planet for almost sixty years.
Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 06:36 AM by devinsgram
Over that time I have been able to listen to the speech's of at least ten presidents. The earliest I remember hearing, although quite young, was Eisenhower and the only one I didn't pay attention to was the first Bush.I knew you couldn't trust what came out of his mouth, because of statements made while vice-president for Reagan about Iran-Contra. Yeah, like I believed he did not know what was going on at that time.

Anyway, each and everyone was able to communicate articulately and make sense of what they where trying to convey, that is until the village idiot arrived on the scene. Once again my apologies to all village idiots.

I have never, never, never, never heard such stupidity come out of the mouth of one man in my whole life. It is just beyond me how anyone could have voted for this idiot.

The only thing I can figure out is that the thinking ability of this country has gone so far down hill that we now have become a nation of ignorant people. I also think we have become the most self-centered nation in the world.

73. Well said - we sure are a nation of self-centered people - bigots at that
I've grown to dislike Bush supporters more and more over the past year - it's getting to the point where they realize that intelligent people assume that they are somehow defective for supporting him - and I agree! As one Canadian I know pointed out naively "all the dumb people here are Bush supporters" - I couldn't have agreed more wholeheartedly with him - I just grinned and said "you noticed that huh" :D

81. What a coincidence!
"all the dumb people here are Bush supporters"

Wow! Amazing! The situation in Canada is the same as it is here! Un-fucking-believable. I wonder why most Europeans, even the dumb ones, don't fall victim to this syndrome?

I should start researching aggregate IQ scores over the last few decades, and see if there's been a statistically significant decline. Could go a long way toward explaining why so very, very many Americans seem to just LOVE Commander Cuckoobananas.

I could not do more than watch and listen for a minute or two and then would walk away. Then I'd go back for more pain.

I must be sado-masochistic, I don't know what else to think.

God, I can not support this man, I'll pray for his soul, but I draw the line, he is not my president, he and his administration are nothing but thugs, thieves and criminals and I will pray every day to see them brought to justice in the US and in the World Court!
