The Importance of Speaking Truth to Power
The revelation of Deep Throat's identity has got me thinking, once again, about the importance of speaking truth to power.

And in today's climate, speaking truth to power is more important than ever. And so I ask myself, is there a W. Mark Felt in the current administration?

Of course, I already know the answer---there is no equivalent of W. Mark Felt in the Bushie regime. Bush has done one helluva job of convincing those around him that loyalty to him matters more than anything, and either you sing from the same hymn book, or you aren't with him.

I really fear that we will never hold anyone accountable for the crimes of the Bush regime.

that spilled into the Pentagon and then across capital hill very quickly it seems.

I'm sure any dissenters are squished quickly after the whole Paul O'Neill and Richard Clark fiascoes.
