W. Mark Felt should be honored as an American hero |
|
Put his face on a stamp or a coin. Name schools after him. Name towns after him -- Feltville.
Erect a monument on the National Mall in Washington.

The outcome of what he did was 100% correct, but his motives are questionable as hell.
Had he stood up for it because he thought Nixon was corrupt and it was bad for the Republic, rather because he had a vendetta.

4. If a man saves your life for selfish reasons, |
|
Edited on Tue May-31-05 09:43 PM by K-W
wouldnt you still thank him?
Also, remember that the the really good reason to honor people for doing good things is to encourage others to do good things, a good message in these times methinks. Would you complain if someone with a vendatta sunk Bush?

6. You are missing my point. |
|
I think the result of what he did was great, but his motive for it was dirty and personal.
If someone with a personal vendetta against Bush sank him (ie, Bush ran over his cat in the driveway), I wouldnt respect that person, but I would be happy at the outcome.

8. wtf are you talking about ....... ? |

He had the balls to speak the TRUTH about dick-wad tricky dicks corruption. Which if we had someone like Felt inside the present Bush administration it would save us a lot more future grief by putting this present ass-wad on trial for war crimes. Peace. :)

7. Absolutely! We should go off the Deep End to honor him ;) |
|
How about renaming America in his honor.
Sorta shows how imporant he was.
Lets ban the repukes in his honor.
Lets dig up Nixon and Reagan and throw this trash in the ocean.
Lets rename all republican warships after him and convert them to helping people.

9. Watergate was nothing. Ellsberg deserves all that |
|
Watergate was regular business in Washington exposed. It was a tiny scandal that resulted in no loss of life.
The Pentagon Papers exposed what really needed to be exposed: Washington's hatred for the truth and its apathy for the deaths of millions of people.
