Who's going to be Bush's new VP???
I think it's basic knowledge and conventional wisdom that Cheney won't run again because of Halliburton and his heart condition. Besides....Shrub needs someone who can re-energize the campaign against a strong pair of Democrats (whoever they may be.)

My guess is that he will pick one of two individuals. Mayor Rudy Guillani to bring back the issues of 9-11, or Gov. Bill Owens of Colorado (my state.) Owens is more on the conservative side, but is good friends with Bush, originally from Texas and can help him win Mountain and mid-west states.

What are your thoughts or suggestions?

either Condi or as yet unnamed hispanic

Although it may piss his base off, pollsters say shrub MUST get 35% or more of the hispanic vote to win in 2004.

4. unless they come up with a believable change in his health
I think its going to be Cheney. Rudy will make a terrible no,.2 guy and they know that and Frankly, I don't think Colin Powel will do it. Just a gut instint. I think he is sorry he went as far as he did.

7. I agree: it will be Cheney.
I can not imagine the repukes having anyone who is of a 'minority' on their ticket. The Dems, either, for that matter.

5. Colin Powell and a media craze would result
I think Powell would help the moron a lot. The election would be about Powell, not Bush (media craze).

13. ahnold is ineligible
only natural born citizens are eligible for the office of president, and the vice president must satisfy the same criteria.

ahnold is an american citizen but was born in austria. he has all rights and privileges as a full american citizen with the sole exception of being ineligible for those 2 offices.

my mother is in the same situation, for the exact same reasons (born in vienna, been in the u.s. since the age of 2....

the trial balloon just went up and they still need to see how the rich and powerful will react to the idea of replacing chendog.

16. Rudy won't run
He's pro-choice and pro-gay. The religious right does not approve of that, which also puts the kibosh on Rice or Powell or Norton. Owens would seem to be his choice from this field, though I still see Cheney running. IKE ran after having had a heart attack, so did LBJ.

He's convinced tht Condi will be the next VP. When I told him I find her to be a twit he said it is only because I'm afraid of her...
