Wash Post/Newsweek had nothing to do with this. Woodstein and Bradley have been holding to their word for decades. There's no reason why they would have broken their word for some political expedience, especially since they took a whole lotta heat about DT for decades and still didn't reveal him.

This clearly was a Pelt deal. And even this morning, Woodstein and Bradley remained mum and held to their word. It was only after Felt family members talked to the press and it became apparent that the revelation was a family deal that Bradley and Woodstein confirmed.

I don't know how anybody can portray these events any other way.

Ben Bradley == JFK friend and confidant and Senior Editor of the Washington Post during Watergate. One of the four people in the world who knew who DT was, until this morning.

Woodstein == a contraction of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. Was a commonly used idiom during Watergate investigations. Two of the other four people who knew who DT was.
