Something I've noticed about Bush's SS "plans"

Whenever I've heard him talk about his SS plans he never mentions what they are. He says "we mentioned plans" or something of the like. Then they turn around and tell democrats they should have a plan when Pelosi mentioned the top plan (what they did with Reagan and like Clinton did). Has anybody else noticed this? I just realized it listening to Malloy.

2. I am less than 10 years away from....

the earliest point in time I can 'collect' SS. I received my annual SS update today.

It used to say...If you retire at 62, you will receive... this amount.

Now it says...If you retire at 62, you will receive 'about'... XXX.

The Repugs are screwing with us, big time!

3. He has more than hinted about what his plans are.

Although he has yet to put anything in writing. The only thing for sure is that you don't want to be over 40 or under 65 right now and need the money that you have been lead to expect, under his new "plan".

4. Yup. He has always been completely obtuse. He talks about private

accounts or tying cost of living to a basket of goods. But he will never set out a plan or put numbers out. It is as if he wants people to be normalized by the options first - and then the numbers will come out (I guess that will be another fight). So the press and the opposition has to run around and search out in the dark what the president may have in mind. Hard to mount a defense that way.

Like the sales guy who will not talk price with you - until he feels you have committed enough that he will not loose the sale. And as often as you ask him to talk sales - he just changes the subject. I always walk away from such people.

Do you realize that man has traveled the country and been in every state just about - and talked for hours on SS. But never went into detail?

Scary. This is the President of the United States!
