Sorry if I missed it, but I have not heard a question directed to GWB concerning the Downing Street Memos.

1. CNN: Bush asked to explain UK war memo
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Eighty-nine Democratic members of the U.S. Congress last week sent President George W. Bush a letter asking for explanation of a secret British memo that said "intelligence and facts were being fixed" to support the Iraq war in mid-2002 -- well before the president brought the issue to Congress for approval.

4. You're Right - I'm Sorry
When I said 'No' below what I ment was that he had never been asked the question in a public forum and that no response has been made to the Minutes.

It was pointed out yesterday that this is not a "Memo"

These are the Official Minutes of a meeting of the Prime Minister of Great Britan. The definiton and use of the right word is imporant. Minutes can not be brushed off, memos can.

9. Thanks for clarifying that.
I've heard the words minutes and memo used pretty much interchangeably.

2. No
Not a peep from anyone asking him his version.

By the way, its Downing Street, I believe.

3. No. It's Downing Street BTW.
As in 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British PM and sort of an equivalent to the White House.

Not one single journalist has asked him about it at all. He wouldn't answer and the journalist would never ever be allowed back into the WH press Corp. We need a sacrificial lamb to ask the question.

8. Thanks for the correction.
We need our own Jeff Gannon! I'm sure he would only last one day, but if he/she could somehow ask a question that would cause the rest of the media to feed off of the answer to that question, that would be great. But, I pretty much doubt that would happen.

10. If he is asked in public by the media...his pat answer will be
"I have not read the minutes memo so I can't respond."
