Nancy Grace. What do you make of her?
I watched her for the first time the other night. She seems really bitchy but I felt there was something there that was good. I could be WAAAAAAAAAY off here having only watched her once. Is she the real deal or another media whore?

She was pulling for the "pro-life" fundie side. I couldn't stand her and haven't tried to watch her since then.

for killing her father (for sexually abusing her) was given a half hour for explaining her position. Grace wanted her out of prison and the case reheard and felt it was a travesty that this young woman should be in prison.

She then went to law school and became a prosecutor. She had something close to 100% conviction rate (or maybe it was 100%).

. . . rate on violent crimes too. Unfortunately, two of the guys they put on death row didn't do it, and THEY KNEW WHO DID DO IT!

100% conviction rates are the mark of a hack, as often as they are of a competent trial lawyer.

11. my question is...
Why is she on Headline News? Why is Headline News also carrying an obnoxious entertainment show, along with Grace and her putrid celebrity trials, on a channel that's supposed to offer a quick overview of the news?

I'll answer my own question - because all of the news is bad, so instead they substitute trash like Grace's show and showbiz fluff. They can't pretty up the mess Bush has made of our country, so the news will be eliminated. Sad state of affairs indeed.

33. I'm not suprised.
Most of the pukes on Court TV are cut from the same cloth.

There was this woman reporting on this trial where a guy was suing the creators of "The New Candid Camera". They pulled this lame stunt at an airport (which I'm suprised they were allowed to do) and this guy was injured and was very embarrassed by this. Needless to say he refused to sign the release. He almost missed his flight. It was held up for him and everyone of the plane was laughing at him.

This hag reporter was just a raving asshole. Making fun of the guy and calling him a "loooooooser". I wanted to slap the living shit out of her.

18. Read This.........

Nancy Grace does one thing well. She helps us see the cable "news" corps’ corruption:

LARRY’S WILLING EXECUTIONER: Signs of the apocalypse? They must include the specter of Josh Marshall wasting his time on Nancy Grace. Josh is much too smart and much too constructive to be burning his brain cells watching Larry King Live, as he’s done in a few recent postings. As we noted in the dim, distant past, our cable “news” nets announced long ago that they were actually tabloid entities. People like Marshall are far too smart to be loitering inside such salons.

On the other hand, Grace is so repellent a figure that she serves a useful purpose; she helps us see the moral and intellectual corruption spreading through our mainstream “news” culture. It’s increasingly clear that King himself is uncomfortable with her rancid behavior. But a recent piece in the New York Times skipped over Grace’s greatest “hang ’em high” failure. Wearily, then, THE HOWLER steps in and resolves all outstanding issues.

44. Hard to believe that she's a Democrat ...
If you put her and Mark Klaus in the same room, it would EXPLODE from all the hate. Guess her fiance was killed and Klaus's daughter was murdered. They both COVET every last ounce of hatred. Look at their faces when they get angry and cry out for justice (revenge)?

These people are mentally ill. I told my immediate family that even if I were tortured and horribly murdered, I would not want them to spend the rest of their lives seeking vengeance for me. Life in prison is the only justice I would hope for them to seek. Being a good Catholic goes well beyond saying "no" to abortion, one must also rally against state sponsored murder.

How many people who are continuing to be "assembly line executed" in Texas may have been (are) innocent? Their BAD to have a "hang up *all* high" prosecutor like ole' Nancy Grace on the opposite side.

People filled with hate and constantly seeking retribution, should NOT be honored as celebrities. Not a good role model for either gender.

58. Grace has been censured several times by higher courts for her actions.
Dateline - May 2, 2005

Prosecutorial Misconduct by Nancy Grace?: Nancy Grace is a fomer prosecutor from the Atlanta Fulton County District Attorney's Office who is now a legal commentator for Court TV and CNN. Given that Grace comments so frequently on matters of criminal law, I wonder if she'll comment on the Eleventh Circuit's opinion today in Stephens v. Hall. In an opinion by Judge Pryor, the Eleventh Circuit considered the remedy for a case in which a certain Fulton County District Attorney's Office prosecutor was found by the court to have "played fast and loose with her ethical duties" under the Constitution. The name of the prosecutor? Nancy Grace.
This woman is a disgrace. Essentially, she suppressed evidence, including the fact that arrest warrants were issued for suspects other than Stephens for the same crime yet Grace stated under oath that no charges were pending, and she put witnesses up that testified falsely.

and came across her show just as she was asking a reporter to recap the last day of the Jackson trial. The reporter was about one second into it when Grace interrupted to give her version of events, which of course was meaningless since she wasn't there.

She's a camera hog who never met a defendent who wasn't guilty as sin. She's repulsive.
