ADD TO LEGAL DEFINITION OF TREASON: undermining democracy |
|
Foreign or domestic, whether for personal gain or at the behest of oil companies, sweatshops, or plantations.
If the elections are fair, according to international observers, we will not agitate for recalls, coups, or back contra-style insurgencies, no matter whose corporate ox is gored.

Treason is (I think) the only crime defined by the Constitution. Changing the definition would be very, very, hard.

you'd have to define what was the definition of "undermining democraccy". Very amorphous, and could mean stuff that we do, or are in favor of. Like the filibuster, for instance. Very undemocratic, at least, it could be defined that way.
Best to vote them out of office, something the left seems to have given up on.
