Media raged for 3yrs about bad CIA intel - Quiet on FIXED INTEL from WH
Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 02:23 PM by blm
How many headlines did the press trumpet blaming the CIA for bad intel given to Bush and Congress?

How many news shows that focused their attention on blaming the CIA for misleading poor Bush with bad intel?

How many presidential and congressional commissions investigated and blamed CIA for poor intel and poor advice to Bush? (John McCain's commission, especially)

FOR almost THREE YEARS we have heard the drumbeat of complaints against the CIA's poor job of advising Bush.

Now that the UK government's OFFICIAL report of the minutes of a meeting between US and UK officials points to Bush as deciding that war was the ONLY option and that the intel was being FIXED BY THE WHITE HOUSE to accomodate that decision, where the hell is all that INK to report the WHITE HOUSE'S FIXED INTEL?

Where the hell are the hours of news shows to DISCUSS the WHITE HOUSE'S FIXED INTEL??

Where the hell are the COMMISSIONS to investigate the WHITE HOUSE'S FIXED INTEL?

Where is JOHN MCCain to head commission investigating the WHITE HOUSE'S FIXED INTEL? (btw...McCain HAD to know about the intel being fixed, because the intel investigation he headed would have SEEN the proof that the material didn't come from traditional CIA analysts who were complaining since Oct2002 that the WH was "cooking the intel books")

Gawd....imagine if Clinton had fixed intel to justify his policies.

1. Good point...
and one more reason to keep pushing the story! Tell everyone, print the minutes and pass them out! These gangsters need to be brought up on charges.

2. Pariser said Moveon will push the story. I'm hoping we all have our
talking points and argue-backs down. Especially since corporate media is doing its best to protect Bush on the revelation of the minutes of the US-UK meeting over the Iraq war plans in July 2002.
