In retrospect, what do you think of Bush's case for war? 48% He deliberately misled the public 104,868 30% It was completely legitimate 66,871 22% He may have stretched a little, but the overall reasoning was sound 48,474 Total votes: 220,213 Note the way the questions are phrased: two answers where Bush is 'ok', one where he's not. Just watch, they'll claim '52% were in favor' or some such.

to the right-usually by a 2-1 margin.
Why bother with torturing Freepers when they are all on the AOL message boards? You won't get banned serving them the truth there! Freeps are losing their minds over Clark on the AOL boards now "Clark is the Anti-Christ"! "Clark is a traitor"! "Clark is a war criminal"! "Clark served his country, why does he betray it now by joining the party that's destroying America"? (that was one of my favorites)!I'm not much of a Clark follower, but it sure is fun to watch Freeps melting down because they can't wrap their tiny minds around the notion that a four star General is a Democrat!

5. They should be scared of Clark. |
|
I recently moved to Georgia, not the most liberal state to say the least. I bring up Clark every time I'm in public and the reception has been really good!

6. Yuo are having fun with that too |

It has been fun to watch the Righties melt at the thought of a Liberal Four Star... lots of fun.
It is also ammusing that by those attacks they are royally pissing off the military community and they do not even realise it.

I think the fact that 48% say he "deliberately misled" the public is a good sign.

7. Hawker, what is the general feeling about Bush on your ship.... |
|
now that him and others have come out and declared "no link between 9/11 and Iraq"?
Being in the navy, I know, is a different existence all together than the foot soldiers "in country" who might have a more critical opinion of Bush due to their lives being put in far greater danger than a sailor perched on a gray hulk miles away from "action". A circumstance of location, if you will.
Not that I'm trying to downgrade any danger you may have been in, just that having been there myself, I realize the difference. Those differences may play in how some in the various military services view our great mis-leader.

9. Well, the biggest Freeper on board got out... |
|
refused to re-enlist, said the long deployments were too much.
Funny, he supported the war but doesn't want to serve in it. Where have I heard of that before?
A good percentage nowadays are saying the same thing: Why did we bother? No WMD's, no Saddam, no Al-Queda/9-11 links; we just wasted our time.
No arguement from me about difference in danger levels; With no navy and no Air Force, Iraq was zero threat to the ships at sea. And without a pre existing terror network, they couldn't get us in port. So, this may well have been the safest deployment I'd ever made.

a poll should never show the public split down the middle. It's war, not some damn obscure political issue. War. 52%. Spin it repubs!
