.

"We could have taken on Saudi Arabi or Pakistan and that would have been good. We took Iraq because we could" (close paraphrase)

6. Well, after all that repetitive ranting...
... saying, "give war a chance," the Bushies took him up on the suggestion, and now that it's not going so well, he'd rather be obstinate than apologetic. Like Bush, Friedman's ego won't let him admit a mistake.

Cheers.

2. Is this a repeat?
Alcuno thought so in a thread on Latest Breaking News.

A normal person might have started rethinking this Iraq thing after being held up at gunpoint on the main road from Baghdad to Amman, but Friedman is hopeless.

Hi Evanstondem. This is a repeat from last week. I remember it took days to get my eyes back in focus after all my eye rolling.

3. I remember reading From Beirut to Jerusalem. It is a good read.
He should just focus on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict because he has lost his mind over Iraq.

5. "Three bubbles in the 90s"
The Bubble on Wall Street.
The Bubble in ENRON (which I think I heard, but he dropped it).
The Terrorism Bubble.

They all had to pop.
