Get ahead of the curve, Democrats!
Edited on Thu Jun-02-05 11:33 AM by DemoVet
The bush administration and the republicans are going to lose in Iraq. Guess who they're going to blame for it? (Hint, it won't be any of the people who are responsible for it). All they can do is try to spin the catastrophes they manufacture to their advantage, and our media castrati won't even blink when they do, might even help a little.

So, what are you going to do? You'd better start thinking about it now because, believe me, they have.

And just to give you an idea of what will be left of our military when rummy's done with it, read this:

http://www.antiwar.com/lind/?articleid=6183

and be very, very, very afraid. To paraphrase one general, we've got the toys but not the boys, and we won't even have the toys at this rate.

1. Agree
remember they blamed the loss in Viet Nam on the protestors at home (and of course their favorite whipping boy, the Liberal Media )

We need to start proclaiming that they have screwed this up right from the giddyup!

2. That's right!
They've gotta spin Iraq like there's no tomorrow. Bill and Democrats will get the blame.

4. A Real Conundrum
Because if we "criticize" the military, we are labeled unpatriotic and don't support our troops.

It is so unfair. In the 2000 campaign, Dubya talked about how weak the military had gotten under Clinton, that it couldn't do what it did in the 1991 Gulf War. And no one criticized Dubya's comments. But they did excoriate John Kerry for bringing up concerns about our long term military strength.

5. "Wreck it and Run"
That DOES just about sum it up..

The republicans SAID they'd run the government like they'd run a corporation, and by God, they have!

6. It's not
what they say but who believes. You can say and blame anyone you wish. It's up to the American people to either continue to eat up their BS or to wake up.

7. Who believes is the right question
So, we tell the truth, eh?

In order to continue spreading democracy around the world even more spending will have take place.

It will take up to fifty years for Iraq to have democracy, and who knows how many hundreds of years for the rest of the world.
Bringing democracy to foreigners at the end of an American gun barrel is the most expensive and un-economical use of tax dollars ever imagined. Yet that is our current course. Should we stay that course, as the current leaders insist? You decide.
