Kerry To Announce Bold New Initiative
Presidential hopeful John Kerry will announce a bold new initiative to maintain his viability as a candidate. He has to! He's not getting anybody excited and his campaign is going nowhere. I predict the bold new initiative will be to hire a press agent to replace the one who quit. Hey, what's up with that?

Kerry thought he'd be in a far better position now than he is. Too bad that the war he voted for is turning out so badly. Just imagine if he'd had any of the same courage he showed when he got his Silver Star. But on the day of the Iraq war vote, he was not indifferent to his own personal safety! No way.

Ideas for a bold new initiative, anybody? I've already suggested something he can do for the good of the party. Everybody would applaud. He'd be a friggin' statesman!

We'd all cheer: "Yeay-y-y-y, John!!"

6. Kerry's Lack of Leadership
Kerry tries to explain away his vote on the war resolution by saying he was duped, but that's an evasion. He voted for the war because he didn't want to be called unpatriotic, figuring that the war would be a one-sided slaughter.

We need a leader in the White House, not some guy who takes a poll before he brushes his teeth.

8. An Overstatement
All right, you got me. I don't really think that Kerry takes a poll before he brushes his teeth. It's quite likely he doesn't.

However, in political matters he doesn't show any leadership. The war in Iraq was as unnecessary as it was grotesque. Kerry should have stood up for principle, not political advantage. Better luck next time, John.

5. "Renewing American Democracy for the 21st Century"
This is a platform I'd LOVE to see Kerry (or ANY Dem Candidate) proposing:

1) Deep Campaign-Finance Reform and shifting a far larger portion of campaign expenses to public-funding.

2) Bipartisan Judicial Committees to recommend Judges for lower courts

3) An End to Gerrymandering -- mandate states to construct nonpartisan, independent redistricting commissions

4) Passage of the "Voter's Choice Act" -- allowing states to create multi-member districts elected by proportional representation

5) Abolition of the Electoral College

6) Instant-Runoff-Voting for all elective positions in which only 1 candidate is elected

Also, we already know that Kerry supports keeping Bush's Middle-Class and Lower-Class tax cuts -- how about if he came out in favor of keeping that portion of bush's taxcut EARMARKED to those groups but reconstructed as part of Gary Hart's economic plan?
