8. Charlie Rangle is making Novak look
more stupid than he already is. Novak is trying to look serious and mean, and Charlie keeps laughing. Charlie says "you put two criminals in front of me".

11. Rangel is great
He used to be on Fox alot but he kept slicing and dicing Hannity so often that I guess they go tired of the constant beating.

Its alot safer with some "democratic consultant" noone has ever heard of who is out of his/her league.

15. Novak didnt get busted,it was a longshot anyway.
Edited on Thu Jun-02-05 04:17 PM by Lannes
But Rangel slapped down everything Novak threw at him. They figured he wouldnt talk about Plame because he is a government official.Thats why he was invited.Still its always nice to see Novak get his ass kicked.

At one point he asked why felt couldnt have gone to Rangel and Rangel responded by reminding him that he was on Nixon's enemies list.

18. Rangel Was On The Judiciary Committee In 1974
So was John Conyers...that's where I first met these gentlemen along with Paul Sarbanes, Chris Cohen (crossed over and voted in favor of impeaching Nixon) and Trent "Helmethair" Lott...a hypocrite then, a bigger one now.

Charlie's always been undermatched on these shows...he's way too nice. One day I'd love to hear him really say what he thinks and stop being so diplomatic.

20. I Lived Those Hearings
I actually volunteered to "run the board" or the controls of my university's NPR station that was carrying the hearings live. I didn't miss a minute. Yep, I remember Charles Sandman of New Jersey...what an asshat. So was a senior Repugnican from California (name slips mind right now) who was Nixon's chief defender.

The class of the whole show was Peter Rodino. He kept things moving and on the Constitutionality, not the partisanship. In fact, he pushed for a bipartisan vote on impeachment or he said he wouldn't have called for a vote and tabled any pending resolutions. No way Hyde or Sennsenbrenner would ever do that.

I listened to the hearings on WBAI during the day. Then I went home and watched the replay on PBS at night. Those were the days.

Yes. Rodino made us proud.

I'm trying to think of the other fool too.
