If you ever start reporting the news again, we'll happily re-subscribe. |
That was hubby's parting comment to the Boston Globe person who just called to get our business back. We subscribed to their paper for at least 15 years and this past December when we left for the Holidays, we decided to cancel because they no longer report on anything important. We get calls weekly to re-sign up. Tonight "Cat" called, and hubby answered. Special offer, yada, yada. Hubby explains they no longer report the news, so we we no longer subscribe. Where is the coverage of the Downing Street memo? Where are the photos of the dead soldiers? (And they can't figure out why their circulation is dropping like a stone.) God I love that man.

3. Weirdly, my home town paper, The Charlotte Observer, |
reported the Downing Street Memo on A1 above the fold. From what I have read here, they were one of the only papers in the nation to do that. So I gotta give them some credit. They may not have the most stellar writing in the world, but hey, at least it is real news. Watch out WaPo, The Observer is hot on your tail!
