Woman on CSPAN theorises Bush is drinking... NYQUIL! |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-21-03 07:09 AM by wyldwolf
Although I think they took the alcohol out of NyQUIL, The CSPAN host said she wasn't the first called who noticed Bush looked intoxicated at various speeches!

4. My international politics professor said the same thing |
|
He mentioned there is a marked difference in Dubya 2000 vs Dubya 03 and he wouldn't be surprised if Dubya was on meds or sneaking drinks.
He did say that he didn't blame Bush if he was. Said that if he, the professor, had to deal with this much crap he would be a bumbling mess.

the story about the "pretzel". First of all, if you or I choked on a pretzel and were hypoxic long enough that we then passed out, the paramedics would be summoned and they would want to transport us to a local ERD to do further testing. We could refuse that if we were wide awake and appeared to be doing well after the fact (but believe me, they would try their best to get us to go). BUT this was the POTUS!!! They WOULD want to do further testing. Count on it. They would want a cardiac work-up as well as Pulmonary work-up. EKG, Blood gases and chem panel at the very least. Those can be done at home but they would want the POTUS checked out from head to toe. They would want a CT scan or MRI of his head, since he bumped it so hard. AGAIN, this is the POTUS!!! They might let you or I slide. But not him. He would have a full-court-press physical exam from the very best.

Shouldn't Bush be held to the same standard as Clinton? The one thing he was not accused of is alcoholism. (I guess the Republicans slipped up there). But had they made that claim, you can bet the media would have never ended a clamour for a medical examination.

48. I saw that, too. Wasn't she the caller from Canada who said |
|
Brian Mulroney had done the same thing and she saw the same pattern in bush? Yes. I saw that. And she wasn't all. There was another caller who brought up bush's drinking, also, and wondered if he wasn't still hitting the bottle even now. TWO calls in that same half-hour time frame mentioned the same suspicions.
I hadn't heard about the Nyquil factor before. But this nurse had said that when Mulroney was prime minister, and bush senior was vp, bush junior therefore had to have been aware of this. She said her suspicions stem from the pattern she saw in Mulroney that she believes she's also seeing with bush: Mulroney, an alcoholic, used to close down early every night because he'd go home to hit the Nyquil bottle. Then, the following morning, he'd be up working out, presumably trying to work off a hangover. She said she wondered if bush's early bedtime and his propensity for working out in the morning and his history of alcoholism were just a repeat of what Mulroney did. MOST intriging.

she wasn't the only caller who brought up bush's drinking, either. Another caller before her wondered if he was still drinking because he's looked like he was drunk while making speeches lately. TWO callers on the subject among about 8 or 9 who weighed in.
There were two other callers who were pro-bush and anti-"liberal" media. The rest of the callers were all anti-bush.

That's the term I always hear about Junior's "bedtime"...that could mean going up to the family area (very top secret...sidestepping Hillary's smashed ashtrays...hahahaha), locking himself in with Barney, cranking on the gameboy and popping little brown bottles.
Honestly, I can't imagine this oxygen thief reading a book or engaged in long "kitchen debates" with people on the phone (ala Clinton) or even preparing for his "job". I'll bet it's gotta be a panic if there's a crisis at night and someone has to decide if the manchild should be either woken up or sobered up or whatever. I get this picture of Marsha Wallace and coffee enemas...LOL
It came out that Nixon snuck into the family area and whiskied himself to subconsciouness...and a reason some justify for his amazing 5am appearance at the Lincoln Memorial during a Vietnam Peace Rally. I wouldn't be surprised if Dubya...like many others of the "Cocktail Generation" self medicate themselves up and down...it's the American Way

more applicable to Poppy and Bar's generation. Dubya and I are members of the "Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll" Generation.
That said, people in every generation self medicate with alcohol and whatever other drugs are readily available to them. And self medication is a very dangerous thing.

what a sad and beautiful portrait of our captive forces and their president, in decline.
...the president cast a notable pall of silence over the crowd when he told them he’d ask Congress for more money to occupy and rebuild Iraq. The president is unlikely to forget the crowd’s reaction to that line anytime soon.

Bush Sr. was using halcion throughout most of his presidency. Here are some snips from Canada'a Globe and Mail from 1992:
"02.13.92
NON-COVERAGE ON HALCION INDICATES SOMEONE'S IN A DAZE
by GEOFF HEINRICKS
The Globe and Mail finally got around to writing about George Herbert Walker Bush's use of the controversial sleeping pill, Halcion. -snip- (other articles cited)
All expressed concern about the terrifying side effects of Halcion -- bliss and supreme confidence followed by intense anxiety, hallucinations, amnesia, confusion, hostility and, in rare cases, violence. Some of the articles wondered whether the drug might explain Bush's extremely bizarre behavior and speech patterns during a mid-January trip to New Hampshire. -snip-
U.S. Secretary of State James Baker may or may not still take the largest dose of Halcion on the market -- .25 milligrams -- while travelling. Baker calls them "blue bombs" because of the color and strength."

When I was in the army (unlike Shrub I didn't go AWOL), during basic training, we were only allowed to go to this small store 3 times. We loaded up on the Nyquil and got drunk. 18 years old, tired, freaked out, and your choice of alcoholic beverages is not very picky.
There are all those stories about Bush drinking "near beer" all the time. He desperately seems to want booze. An Alcoholic drinking near beer religiously, has alot of issues. Near Beer doesn't taste that great.

Nyquil and White Russian - Light blue like the uniforms of North Carolina basketball players. Call it a "UNC Tonic"?
Nyquil neat - Say, gimme another. I'm sneezing again.
