Where are the protest marches?
I keep thinking I'll see marches start back up but I haven't. With Chimpboys numbers dropping and our soldiers getting killed on a daily basis we should be out in the streets in-mass. Not just in the US but around the globe just like back in February.

With the nice weather in fall there would be million more that would join in,I can't believe this isn't happening....

5. Smaller ones are going on...
There's a group of about 25 people who stand out on Main Street in my home city every Friday afternoon at rush hour (5-6 pm) with signs, etc.

There's a Democrat mailing list that lists the scheduled appearances of Bush and Cheney and a few others each week under the heading "Protest Bush." I think it's democrats.com but I lost it when I changed ISPs. :-(

There's a big one scheduled for October 25 in D.C. We hope to be there and a group of friends plan to come down from Massachusetts, stay over with us in Delaware, and go from here.

I do think that people lost heart after the war actually started, but I hope this one in October is big and pulls people back in plus draws in some new folks now that it's been shown how false the reasons for invasion actually were and how many lies were told. We need to get our troops home and we need to stop all this bullying of the rest of the world... IMO.

10. We protest every friday, 4-5 PM, in front of the court house

Part of our group that also walks at noon.

One sign is a troops death toll, others say things like;

support the troops bring them home
bring 'em on home(with the red circle and slash over the word on)
bush lied troops died
veterans for peace
where are the WMD?
Who would jesus bomb
a drawing of hands covered in blood that says bush's hands
I think I'll make a new one - US out UN in
I do believe the US should get out and that we should pay the expenses for the UN to clean up the mess we made.

How about - profit during war is immoral?

Edit - we will be in DC on the 25th - 3 generations strong

6. protest what exactly?
i really don't think the pre-war marches hurt american support for the war. In fact I think that the fact that these people were allying themselvers with people burning American flags overseas, and some were causing traffic and other disturbances(just making innocent peoples lives harder) -- probably improved support for the military action.

Now, that's not saying they shouldn't have protested if that's what they wanted to do, but the regime has already been removed. What are you protesting?

11. Oh gee...not much
<>Now, that's not saying they shouldn't have protested if that's what they wanted to do, but the regime has already been removed. What are you protesting?<>

Oh gosh not much...

How bout an illegal invasion that was started over total false info and bullshit. Umm,the fact that we lose at least one soldier per day in this fucking "get rich quick" scheme for Halliburton and Bechtel. The fact that EVERYONE in America was LIED to by these thugs in the WH who have absolutely no regard for human life when there are BILLIONS to be had for the taking in Iraq.

What to protest?? Gawd.... its endless.

8. When the draft comes back
Then you'll see mass protests, when it finally hits the middle class that their sons and daughtersare going to die so they can fill the tank, then people will wake up.
