2 good W. songs
Check out this website: http://www.boobooday.com/lyrics.html

The first song is "Get back, Plutocrat" played to Honkey Cat by Elton John. The second song is "W. Goes Home" played to Josie by Steely Dan. They're both pretty good, but the singer leaves a little to be desired.

GET BACK, PLUTOCRAT!
To the tune of “Honky Cat” by Elton John
Lyrics by Jeanette Castillo

When I look back
Boy we must have been dreaming
Eight solid years of peace
And prosperity
Then we got Bush/Cheney
In an election that they lost
When you look back on that day
You know that we were robbed

We say, Get Back, Plutocrat
Better get ya back to the ranch
Cause we’re sick of your wars
And your corporate whores
And oh oh oh regime change is gonna do us good

You better Get Back Plutocrat
We know that you’re sitting back just getting fat
You just gather your gold while the people cry
You just count all your money, oh, while the people die

Well I’ve read some books, and I’ve read some magazines
About your high-class felons and their evil schemes
And all those fools on the tube well they said we were the fools
They said, Oh if you’re against the war – you don’t support our troops

We say, Get Back, Plutocrat
Better get ya back to the ranch
Cause we’re sick of your wars
And your corporate whores
And oh oh oh regime change gonna do us good

We say, Get Back, Plutocrat
Better get ya back to the ranch
Cause we’re sick of your wars
And your corporate whores
And oh oh oh regime change is gonna do us good

They said, stay at home
Saddam’s gonna drop a bomb!
They’re a bunch of liars people
You know they have to go

And, they can’t stay when the people say go aha
We can’t stop til we see them go

REPEAT CHORUS BOTH STANZAS

W. Goes Home
Lyrics by Jeanette Castillo
Music by Donald Fagen & Walter Becker
(with all due admiration and apologies)

We’re gonna smack down the corporate looters
When W goes home
We’re gonna whup ass on the polluters
When W goes home to stay
We’ll breathe a sigh of relief
How long can one man fake it?
Shoots off his mouth ‘til we have no friends
How long we gonna take it?
Til W goes home

When W goes home
So cool
Say goodbye to that sorry fool
He’s a damn shame
A big liar
He plays like a cowboy while the world’s on fire

Ask him to help the needy
He’ll always say no, no
Ask him to pay the greedy
He’ll have them all down to stay at Crawford
Sell them your dreams
Sit down, shut up, and take it
Or get out the vote and your rights defend
We might have a chance to make it
If W goes home.

When W goes home
So glad
The worst president we ever had
He’s a damn shame
A big liar
He plays like he’s Jesus while the world’s on fire

When W goes home
So cool
Put an end to his reign of fools
He’s a damn shame
A big liar
He plays like a hero but he’s bout to get fired!

1. But "Fortunate Son" by Creedence
says it all without changing words or meaning.

2. Same with
Big Hat, No Cattle by Randy Newman

Since I was a child
I've tried to be what I'm not
I've lied and I've enjoyed it all my life
I lied to my dear mother
to my sisters and my brother
and now I'm lying to my children and my wife

Big Hat, no cattle
Big head, no brain
Big snake, no rattle
I forever remain
Big hat, no cattle
I knew from the start
Big boat, no paddle
Big belly, no heart

Can't remember why I do it,
Oh, maybe I can.
An honest man these days is hard to find.
I only know we're living in an unforgiving land.
And a little lie can buy some real big piece of mind.
Oftimes I wondered what might I have become,
Had I but buckled down and really tried.
But when it came down to the wire
I called my family to my side
Stood up straight, threw my head back and I lied, lied, lied

Big hat, no cattle
Big shoes, well you know...
Big horse, no saddle
He goes wherever I go
Big hat, no cattle
Right from the start
Big guns, no battle
Big belly, no heart

When it came down to the wire
I called my little family to my side
Stood up straight, threw my head back and I lied, lied, lied
lied, lied, lied

Big hat, no cattle
Big head, no brain
Big snake, no rattle
I forever remain
Big hat, no cattle
I knew from the start
Big boat, no paddle
Big belly, no heart
Big boat, no paddle
Big belly, no heart
