Got to shake hands with HOward Dean last night!
I am homored! He's a very synamic guy, and really can rev up the crowd!

He had a great speach last night in Atlanta, albeit, way too short! It lasted a little less than an hour. I wsas hoping for some questions from the audience, but there were none. I don't know if this was Howard's idea or the club where he appeared, but they didn't have any mikes anywhere.

He touched on most of the subjects that are important to Georgians, like an auditable paper trail, and how most of the things ShrubCo says are really not Christian, nor are they true!

I was sooo excited to finally get to meet him, and hear him live! We just got lucky to be standing along the front row of the aisle where he cam into the hall, and got to shake his hand.

4. Sounds great!
I'm glad you got to meet him. :) Edwards is coming here sometime this month (Tennessee) but I don't think I'm going to be able to go. :(

6. Thanks. I'm way too old to do the "I'm not gonna wash my hand"
deal! That's for the teenagers. But it was a great moment, and Shirley Franklin introduced him, and I shook hands with her too.

It was a good night!

7. My 82-year old mom has been a lifelong Democrat ...
and she is really starting to like Howard Dean.

She was pissed recently that other dems were criticizing him over some bullshit. I told her those are the dems that want dems to be like repubs. Dean wants us to be Democrats !

9. Cute! I had a friend call
me today who saw Dean on mtp a couple of weeks ago and wanted to get his address so she could write him a thank you letter. She thought he did great.

10. Dean was pretty famous for pressing the flesh after his speeches.
I've seen him shake everyone's hand who wanted to in an audience of 3000. He's got Karasma.

11. Yes he does! I hate it that the party bosses forced him out of the
primary in 2004! He would have made a great President!

12. No doubt.
There'll be a huge field in 2008. I'm wondering who the Karasmatic<sic> one will be then. Another relative unknown, I bet.

14. I'm actually hoping for that!
I know there have only been 2 Senators ever elected to the Presidency. Harding and Kennedy! That's a very bad track record. I don't want to go through another LOSS!

I'm also hoping the Pubs will destroy each other in the Pub primary!!!

16. I'm virtually certain it will be a Dem.
Crumbs to the people, and all that. The PTB are anything but stupid.

13. And a plug for Georgia For Democracy!
If you noticed, Shirley presented a Georgia For Democracy baseball hat to the Gov., which he promptly put on.

GFD started as the remnants of the Dean volunteers in Georgia who wanted to keep the progressive momentum going after the wheels came off of the campaign.

15. I sure did notice! I love Shirley too!
Seeing both Shirley and Howard on that stage really made me proud!

HOward said Ga. isn't a red state, and we can will here!!! I'm sure going to do what I can to make that happen!
