up during WWII made it possible for us to present a smiling face to the world and get our objectives accomplished without resorting to murderous force.Where it was done, it was carried out by stealth as in Iran with Mossadegh,with Diem in Vietnam and Arbenz in Guatemala.

That has stopped working and like Zappa said, the world is looking at the true face of American imperialism, shorn of its humanitarian pretenses.Abu Ghraib is the stark evidence of that and there are many more yet to come before it is all over.
