Is James Baker still defending Saudis against the US 911 family victims?

There was a huge lawsuit against Saudi Arabia by the families of the Sept 11 victims.

James Baker was defending the Saudis against the American victims of the terrorist attack.

Havent checked or heard anything about this in a long time.

Anyone know of any updates or the latest developments in the case??

9.  *snarf*

So, you thought I was talking about another James Baker you have never heard of?

Then you said: "Save your snotty tone for a repuke."

Good suggestion, advice taken.

4. Old MSM article, Baker claims immunity for Saudis in 911 attacks

This is from 2 yrs ago (I think ?).

Check out this james baker defense motion for the Saudis on the 911 attack lawsuit ...

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3067906/

"It also argued that, as the third-ranking official of a foreign government, their client is immune from any U.S. legal action and that he should therefore be dismissed from the case altogether."

6. Wish I knew, too, Swamp Rat!
In searching the Internets I found what Sneer's still talking about:

10. "Four years of torturous academic and military rigor had ended."
Once they're in a muddy foxholes with malfunctioning equipment, breathing in DU, they'll be calling their time at the Academy "the good ole days." :(

5. Didn't it get tossed? Or was that Sibol Edmonds?
Without a scorecard, It's hard to keep track of these gangsters.

I remember hearing Baker got the Saudis dropped from the suit. I can't find a thing on it on the internets, though.

This archive is old, but there are lots of names and resources in the materials.

7. Still going as of Oct 2004 ...

Found this from Oct 13 2004 by Naomi Klein, whom I trust as a source ...

"But critics expressed grave concern about whether Baker was an appropriate choice for such a crucial job. For instance, one of Iraq's largest creditors is the government of Saudi Arabia. The Carlyle Group does extensive business with the Saudi royal family, as does Baker's law firm, Baker Botts (which is currently defending them in a $1 trillion lawsuit filed by the families of Sept. 11 victims)."

There is much more there about dirty baker dealings, i only scanned it just now but it looks very interesting.. carlyle, billions in debt.. jesus, these people are crooked to the bone....
