The Best Thing About the Bush Administration, is the Education
Edited on Sat Jun-04-05 12:22 AM by Pryderi
Since Bush has become president, I've learned more about the Constitution, American History, the filibuster, separation of church and state, and the separation of powers than I ever learned in school.

1. The sad part is
You learned it because they were screwing it up.

3. I also learned to never trust the government,
that all wars bring about great evil, even if supposedly fought for a good reason, and that the public is so desperate for a leader with conviction who communicates a simple message that they'll even vote for a crook who fakes it.

4. They used to actually teach those things in school.
They called it Civics. Literally, how to be a citizen.

6. Good for you. I admire your willingness to learn and encourage you ...
... to share your zeal and knowledge with as many others as possible.

As you undoubtedly realize, "democracy" is not a spectator activity and the enlightened individuals who wrote our Declaration of Independence and Constitution knew that, well.

Onward and thank you for your humble honesty about all you have learned.

Peace.

www.missionnotaccomplished.us - How ever long it takes, the day must come when tens of millions of caring individuals peacefully but persistently defy the dictator, deny the corporatists cash flow, and halt the evil being done in Iraq, and in all the other places the Bu$h neoconster regime is destroying civilization and the environment in the name of "America."

9. Thanks. I've come to appreciate the US Constitution as a work of art.
It's absolutely brilliant, and I hate seeing neocons deface such a work of art.

12. Know what you mean..
I never realized what a true work of genius the Constitution is. I had read it and understood it but until Bush became president I had taken my citizenship for granted. Not anymore...
