Downing Street Minutes were brought up by most hate radio shows today
I had a long drive from Grand Junction, CO to Albuquerque today and happened to catch Rush, Hannity, Glen Beck and a couple of others bring it up kind of trying to do damage control it seemed. They didn't make it a topic they just tried to down play it and said it was coming next week and for everyone to get prepared. They didn't let their callers comment on it. It was treated seriously but downplayed. They seemed nervous to me.

1. What can they possibly say?
It should be an interesting week. Conyers and Kerry are both pushing it in congress.

2. I sincerely hope that before it's over
we will have made them all a good deal more than nervous.

3. "Everyone get prepared"
Meaning, stay tuned, we'll be faxing the party line to you as soon as the Heritage Foundation comes up with one.

At the WH press briefings, the first response was to deny, then when asked again recently, to deny having denied, and proceed to ignore the question by pretending that a completely different question had been asked.

Yes, it will be oh so interesting to see how they spin it.

Thanks for posting this

5. Rushing to cover their bush-god's ass per usual. Funny how they refuse to
go kill & be killed for their bush-god, though. They really make bush look bad by not joining the military to go die in bush-god's crusade.

6. Whatever the case is with these minutes,
there are serious issues involved. A prompt investigation into the truth of the matter is called for. In addition, the administration needs to speak (and promptly) directly to the contents of this memo, and say (in detail) what part of it is true and what part is not.

7. When the public realizes they were duped, they'll look to the chorus
that convinced them. They may fear for their millions.

8. They are probably praying to be "Raptured" before then
I wonder, is the mainstream media covering this at all?

9. Beck was making comments to one caller
about the obviousness of Kerry being the one to bring this to the floor. Downplaying it completely. No discussion of whether or not its true.

11. Their storm troopers have already
landed at DU. Their first bombing raid is: discredit Galloway. It's always the reichwing tactic of search and destroy with no regard for truth. Get ready. Rove has a busy weekend of shaping the story.
They'll be plenty of emails and faxes to the news whores. I bet we can all write those memos ourselves right now.
Let's see: always have America's security as the main theme. Bush and Co. were just getting ready and outlining scenarios. This was advance planning necessary for the nation's protection. Repeat negotiation and national security. Mention 9-11 repeatedly. Repeat Hussein and thousands of mass graves. Finish with spreading freedom, Iraqi women voting, and staying the course.
Nothing we haven't heard before. They've got nothing, really, but repetition. I would think even the sheep are tired of this bedtime story by now.

13. True enough,
still, there may be good "counters" to some of these expected "lines".

But one might hold (knowledge of) these counters back in order to decrease the probability of counter-counters being launched immediately when the counters are released. (You get more "zing" that way -- and can maybe put (or keep) them "off-balance".)

12. "Coming Next Week"
I guess this means the Newsweek brouhaha has finally played itself out - and given the 'pukes time to form a strategy.

I'll bet. Any publicity of the DSM is good publicity.
