The 'christian' Right - A dangerous group
Edited on Sat Jun-04-05 09:44 AM by ck4829
As a Muslim, I am troubled by the RW'ers of my religion, they are the ones that make up Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

I can see a similar thing with Christianity. The 'christian' Right is not some tiny little persecuted religious Minority that seeks to make things right, they are a DANGEROUS group that seeks to hurt, maim, and kill innocent people.

Myth - The 'christian' Right is not dangerous.
Truth - The 'christian' Right has supported RW Death Squads and Brutal Dictators along with people that would later become Islamic Terrorists. This is VERY dangerous.

Myth - The 'christian' Right represents a 'culture of life'
Truth - The 'christian' Right, along with many other RW groups, joined up to defeat Clinton's Health Care Plan. I don't know exactly, but I think it is fair to estimate that 1000's of people have died over the years because of a lack of Health Care.

Myth - The 'christian' Right is actually very inclusive
Truth - The 'christian' Right supported Apartheid, enough said.

Myth - The 'christian' Right is not partisan, just simply Conservative
Truth - There have been Partisan ties shown that exist between the 'christian' Right and the GOP.

The GOP is quickly becoming the Political Arm of the 'christian' Right (In Texas, this is already the case). I implore Congressmen regardless of Political Party to drop the 'christian' Right before something similar to what happened in Iran decades ago happens in the United States.

2. They are also not practicing Christianity
I was raised a Christian, I attended churches of every denomination I can think of including Mormon. I have studied the bible, studied several other religions and come to the conclusion that organized Christianity is not about being Christ like, as it was meant to be. It's about control, fear, power and money. The people that have taken Christ for the biggest ride are the Dobsons, Falwell's, Robertsons, Frists **shes etc. People are so... dumb, they can't look at things on their own and figure it out, they are spoon fed whatever these antichrists give them and they swallow it. I wish we could teach people to think.

I also agree they are very dangerous.

3. They are very dangerous
Just like terrorists, they will use violence to get what they want. I think it's too late to stop them. We can try but too many people are brainwashed. Best to get guns and ammo. The time to defend oneself from Christians is close. No prisoners, no mercy. They refuse to show any themselves.

5. Salem Alakhem - Shalom Alechem
I know I probably spelt it wrong in both languages, but hopefully the message gets through.

As a Jew who grew up in the post-Holocoust generation, I was always taught to be watchful of the Christian right...or any group that uses religion for a political or racial agenda.

This was hammered home by my late grandmother who lived through the progroms of Eastern Europe in the early 20th century and fled to this country. The only crime she and her villagers commited that led to the pillage and raping of their village by Russian and Polish soldiers was their faith.

Religion is so easily used to exploit since it is emotionally drummed into so many people. Faith is something one subscribes in a personal way and when manipulated it has had devestating affects.

Sadly, this lesson is rarely learned as part of each religion's culture is one being a victim or persecuted. Listen to some of these religious charlatans who actually believe they are being persecuted in a land where their religion is in the majority and their rights are still protected by the Constitution.

These are scary times indeed, my friend.

The warping of "American" and "Christian" disturbs me greatly as this excludes millions of other faiths or who chose not to have a faith at all. It discriminates as the Christian right works to create it's own set of rules and lifestyle...walling themselves off from the rest of us and any constructive dialogue.

Peace!
