The Cheney/Rove sock puppet may have uttered something since he's been occupying the White House that was true. But for the life of me, I can't think of one statement he's made that fits this criteria.

Anybody have one?

1. I've got one! August 5, 2004.

Referring to the country's enemies, Bush said, "They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

A truer statement he never uttered....at least the last part.

8. How do we know that was true???
Edited on Sat Jun-04-05 10:49 AM by Cyrano
It became a story during the Clinton administration, but where did that story come from? How do we know it's true?

The MSM has been in as much of a delusional coma since Ronald Reagan became president, as Reagan himself was during most of his presidency.

And I'm not saying this to be cruel to Reagan. Rather, I'm trying to be cruel to the (supposed) MSM for their betrayal of the constitution and the American people.

So, Did Saddam Try to Kill Bush's Dad? - by Jim Lobe

The circumstances of the alleged plot, which ended in a trial and conviction of 11 Iraqis and three Kuwaitis, have always evoked skepticism...

While the ISG's 960-page report, known as the Duelfer Report, does not address the assassination attempt, its chronology and depiction of Hussein's worldview -- adduced through lengthy interviews by one Arabic-speaking FBI investigator and other interviews of Saddam's closest advisers -- make the notion that the Iraqi dictator tried to kill Bush all the more implausible.

A Case Not Closed -by Seymour M. Hersh

My examination of what is known about the recovered car bombs and of the F.B.I.'s interviews with the alleged assassins in Kuwait raises fundamental questions concerning the validity of the government's evidence, how prudently and objectively it was handled, and how the President and the men around him—experienced as many of them were in making legal judgments—reached their standard of "reasonable doubt."

What we DO know as FACT; bush tried to assassinate president Saddam Hussein. It is, of course, acceptable when we do it. :eyes:

then indeed it might be an instance of Dubya telling the truth.

12. Any variation of his "Ahm jes' a reg'lar guy; jes' a ordinary Joe SixPack
like all y'all" riff.

I've said it before, but one thing Shrubbie is is ORDINARY. There is nothing about him that is in any way excellent, superior, fine, grand, admirable, or awe-inspiring. He is a crashing mediocrity who reduces all of human achievement to the absurd, banal, ludicrous and boring.

16. Sorry but I have to disagree.
There is nothing "ordinary" about him. I will agree that excellent, superior, fine, grand, admirable and awe-inspiring do not remotely describe him either, but to call him ordinary is an insult to every "regular guy" out there. ;)
