Something sweet to share with you all! My "Republican" Mother in law,
confessed to me last weekend in a very hushed and quiet tone, she is not happy with Bush! I never ever thought I'd live to hear it. It was a sweet moment. The worm just might really be turning!

2. did she indicate
what was the straw that 'broke the camel's back' (per her no longer being "happy" with bush)?

7. No, she did not indicate, and I was too surprised to even ask. I was in
shock and it was way too early in the morning, I don't think I'd even had a second cup of coffee.

18. You must be very delicate.
Like blowing on a burning ember, fan the flame gently otherwise you could blow it out.

3. Last September at my husband's family reunion
His sister was fretting about the possibility of Kerry being elected.I listened quietly to her fears of what horrors awaited society if the heathens were elected. The next family reunion is next weekend.I wonder if she's changed her mind any.

4. My lifetime Republican mother-in-law
Edited on Sat Jun-04-05 02:30 PM by lady lib
saw the light in 2003 when she realized what her party was doing to the environment. Since then she has participated in a protest and signs all the petitions I email to her.

5. I Convinced My Republican Father To Vote Libertarian
He used to be president of the Iowa young repug club, Nixon booster, etc.

He can't stand what the noecons are doing to the country. As an atheist, he is also VERY unhappy about the role of the fundies in the party.

Classic case of the party changed and left him behind. Lots of others are feeling this as well.

I made this graphic with my dear father in mind. He seemed pretty amused.

Neo Cons! Not yet, but they do seem to be on a death march round the world.

14. You need to change the dates.
It should read 1854-1960.

6. Thank you for sharing! This is how we will win, one at a time!
I am seeing more and more of these stories, and it's very gratifying!

Even if they don't vote Dem, as long as they don't vote Repug we'll win in 2006 and 2008!

9. Now you need to redirect that displeasure...
...to the republican party in general, or at least to the radical rightists that have hijacked the party. Remember, W is never going to run in another election in his life, so displeasure with him alone is practically useless...

10. Thanks, it is a long road to hoe. She once told us that Pat Robertson
was one of the most righteous Christians she knew of. It was in response to us having Bill Hicks on our answering device at home doing a riff about Jesus coming back with a Uzi! It really upset her.

22. Well, if that's where she's starting from, being displeased with bush is a
heck of an accomplishment. Keep up the good work!

12. my conservative repub brother says he's 'not happy' with *'s handling
of the economy. Then he shakes his head (baaad economy) and tsk-tsk's a few times to himself.

He's said this without being prompted, every time we've seen him over the last two months. He was a staunch, unwavering bush supporter - so this is a major shift.

Plus saying it out loud to his progressive relatives - really major.

15. This Whole Thread Is Sublime!
People like this may well represent the tipping point we need to make impeachment possible, once we get past Sensenbrenner, DeLay and Frist, of course.

16. I guess they finally came back through the looking glass...
The runaway bride must have stopped entertaining them enough, who would have thought of that? Not everyone has to be brainwashed who votes for republican.
