Top Story above the fold, front page, big type face
In the Washington Times!

The Gitmo Quran desecration story

http://www.washtimes.com/

I never thought I'd see it. But there it was, on the rack at the supermarket. The Baltimore Sun played the same story on page A4.

2. Isn't the Wa. Times supposed to be a Pub paper?
At least that's what I hear on cspan all the time. The Pubs slam the WP all the time, but they seem to like the Times.

Is it possible a Pub paper would put a story on the front page that makes ShrubCo look bad???

3. SF Chronicle
On the front page, has a whole chronology, including Scotty McLellan telling Newsweek they have to repair the damage they've caused.

12. The SF news
The local news (which reported the story on Friday night) made the point of when the story was released. They didn't comment on it, but they sure said it.

Of course, this is San Francisco.

7. Well, the story is there, but it's still defending the Admin!
Surprise, suprise! Here's a link to theWT story. I think it's the same one that's on the front page!

8. They can defend the admin, no one expects otherwise
but the story's out there. It wasn't buried as we had suspected it might be.

What amazed me was the positioning in the print vesion ... page 1 above the fold.

9. OH I agree. Maybe the plan is to get the defense out there
to beat off the opposition before they get a foothold?

10. Or maybe they get their defense out there before we start our offense
Which, on some streets, is called shootin' yer wad.

They may well be starting to overplay their hand.
