4. OK, I've been avoiding this, but I'll bite.

Since I heard this teaser from another Dean source as well.

So...

What could Dean people know that most others don't?
And it would seem to have to be something that the Dean people can control, or else they would just announce it right away, or someone else would.
And is apparently a done deal, but can't be publicized yet? Why?

My best guesses:
1. Dean will announce some huge fundraising number. October because the numbers won't be complete until the end of September, but they know it will be huge.
or
2. They have a big endorsement lined up. I don't know why this would have to wait until October, or how it could be perceived as changing the race.

On the other hand, Osama could have called Howard looking for a good plastic surgeon, and Dean tracked him down using his DeanPhone GPS Terrorist Locator System (TLS). Then Howard might have tied him up with medical tape, and kept him in a refrigerator until Osama realized the errors of his ways, and is now going to announce that he is a Christian.
