I turned on the Coral Ridge Ministry Hour. God I wish I hadn't...
I turned in 35 minutes into the insanity. Dr. D. James Kennedy (anyone else think the D. is for dirtbag?) was introducing a clip from a gathering where the coral ridge ministry's Christian Statesmen Award was being given to congresswoman marily musgrave from Colorado.

The "Pastor" held a "prayer" before she stepped on the stage. The prayer included a thank you to God for keeping marilyn strong and unwilling to compromise with those wanting to destroy America.

Then miss marily took to the stage. She rattled on and on, talking about what a time we live in when "good is called evil and evil is called good" and how she honors "god first" in givernment. She whined about how her daughter had a baby recently and how "the nurses were in the hallway, taking about how evil her politics were, but how one good hearted nurse who really cared about her daughter and new born's health came in and said how bad all those nurses were."

She then shocked the audience when telling them she had just come from a vote on the parental notification act, of all things, and how there was a sneaky little add on that allowed pastors to take girls across state lines for abortions. Everyone was shocked. I guess she forgot to mention that adults will try to help girls who have been raped by fathers or close famiy members and have no one else to turn to.

These people are nuts. They truly are. Honestly, I don't care how they chose to live their personal lives. Don't believe in abortions? Don't have one. Keep the economy strong, abortions will fall. Teach sensible sex education, less abortions. We have seen this statistically to be true. Believe that homosexuality is a choice, a lifestyle and not one you agree with? Fine. Don't participate in homosexual relationships. But for goodness sake, why oh why would someone want their personal belifs on someone else? What in them drives them to desire such power and control they can not live their own lives and simply let other peacefully live?

Ok, this isn't anything we haven't heard before. I just get so tired of it.

Peace and Strength,

kt
