Buy the audio book of Al Franken's "Liars"!!!

Half way throught the audio book Al plays excerpts from the Wellstone memorial.He also plays ACTUAL portions from Rush's show.Is that legal?Does AL need permission from Rush or Clear Channel?He really shows you how rabid & nuts Rush really is!Rush sounds like RObert Duvall from the movie "The Apostle" Like a foaming at the mouth Fundie! He plays a part of Rush's show where Rush says how much he dislike Wellstone & refers to him as Paul Welfare.He then flip flops & tells his listeners how upset he was that this "Fine man"was disgraced at his memorial.Yeah,like Rush really cared about Paul!

Al doesn't read the book on the audio version.He makes it sounds like your having dinner with him & he's talking to you.Just you.Very personable.Hearing Al's voice,his passion, his emotion in his voice makes it so much better.(He gets kinda emotional talking about Wellstone,& I think theres a part where he kinda'chokes a little)

Anyway,good stuff!Its a great audio to listen to while in the car(bette than talk radio)Or just working around the house!

I've been a Premium Subscriber since March, and have bought quite a few "books" from them. The problem is that not all pocket devices will play them, although quite a few will, The'll also play off your Win or Mac computer though.

I prefer the printed to the spoken word, but with this, I can "read" while I'm out on the street. (Cool). All the ones I have so far, are well narrated and of good quality recording.

8 hours (6 cd's) He plays alot of audio clips that the book obviously does not capture.Example: He goes into great lengths about how the right lied about Trent Lott being booed at the Welstone memorial.He played the tape of the Clinton's being shown on the jumbo screen.We hear applause.He then plays the audio of Trent Lott.Maybe a couple boo's,but you have to listen hard for them.He also gives links to the actual site so you can judge for your self.He goes out of his way & at great legths & shows you where he's coming from,but he then reminds the listener that there are 2 sides to every story.All he can do is present his side the best he can with as much evidence as he can.He asks the listener to make up their own minds.AL is a class act!
