LBJ should get ALOT of the blame for that one. It could be argued that Nixon escalated it but it could also be argued that he got us out of it.

Off on a tangent but I've been wanting to mention this for a while. I heard Michael Medved say the other day that the reson he was a republican was because of how we abandoned the Vietnamesse in '75 and didn't even do anything to try and help them. Try telling that to all the US soldiers that were there for 13 or so years! Didn't do anything do help them!?!? My God how far out there is he? The reason we lost that war is because the south Vietnamese wouldn't do anything to HELP US HELP THEM.

Wasn't there a war in El Savador supported by "freedom fighters," the bilking of the Phillipine treasury by Marcoses (very close friends of Reagan), the instillation of the Shaw of Iran, the war in Panama to capture a drug runner who had been employed by previous RW governments, the S&L scandal that cost each and every one of us 10s of thousands of dollars, that mess called Star Wars (Reagan already had Alzheimers by then), the honoring of Nazi soldiers at Bittberg, and the list goes on...
