The California Conspiracy
Who was behind the recall in California? We are led to believe that Darrel Issa put up his own money, but did he? We do know that it is the legislature that must pass the budgets, not the Governor. But it was the Governor that was blamed for "lack of leadership". Even to this day, it is the battlecry of Arnold.

But, as soon as the recall was official, a budget was passed immediately. Which, one must question why the budget was not passed before that time? Then, the state Repub Leader, McClintock decides that he is going to get in the race?

At the same time the recall was taking shape, Tom Delay and a few influential Repubs were attempting to "re-district" the state of Texas, but not in the required ten-year census cycle. They saw an opportunity to take some House seats and they were going to take advantage of it, legal or not. It is my opinion that they saw a similar opportunity in California.

But with the CA budget passed so soon - and there is not a $38 billion dollar deficit in the budget as advertised by the Repubs - after it was a sure thing that the recall would take place. We should ask if this recall was orchestrated from the Delay office or perhaps from the White House itself? There is more to the CA recall than meets the eye...

1. It certainly is taking many people's eye off the target.
What are Californians focused on with the recall fiasco staring them in the face? They certainly aren't watching the idiots in Washington as well as they might.

2. Interesting tidbiit from Frank Luntz's focus group:
An anti-recall member of the focus group said that most of the people that signed the petition didn't even vote in the last election. She made the very good point that those people had their chance to vote in the real election, isn't their support for a recount something less than completely legitimate?

I actually never read this tidbit in the news. I'm assuming it's true because Luntz and Matthews both conceded it, though they didn't dwell on it.

5. I have been saying that all along too!
I never saw it in the media, nor did I see what you said Luntz and Matthews said, but my anecdotal experience confirms it. That and $1.75 will get you a cuppa at Starbucks.

No, I wasn't that anti-recall member of teh foucus group but that person and I are in complete agreement.

3. I would focus a recall against Jim Brulte R. Cucamonga
wrote the deregulation legislation. threatened any puke who broke ranks to negotiate a budget deal with the D's. this was all part of the plan, also gotta drop that 2/3 majority to pass the budget.I think Brulte is the single most cupable R in the State

4. Californias deficit is now at 8 billion
Davis , Dems and Repukes were able to compromise and
cut the deficit by 30 billion dollars .

No small feat indeed . Right after the budget passed
there were gripes on both sides which means a fair
compromise was reached .

Was bush able to cut the national deficit this way ? NOOOOOO !
