Clinton says Clark has "a sack full of guts" |
|
uh. ok. Boy, I hate when Clinton tries and fails to use populist language. Very Bush-esque.

8. Chitlins are considered a delicacy by some down here, |
|
but not by me. I'm not sure if Clinton is paying Clark a compliment or not. Just ask anyone who's ever cleaned chitlins -- they'll tell you what they're full of.

when I was living in North Carolina, I got on an elevator w/a neighbor. He was carrying a large white bucket. I asked him what was in the bucket. He opened the bucket to let me see.
:puke: The bucket was full of chitlins. Oh why din't I wait to ask just before my floor?

Clinton uses a lot of homespun langauge. And he's way more articulate than Bush when he does - normally. (BTW, I guess that's better than a sack full of nuts.) :)

14. political persuasion in this country is lowbrow limboing |
|
The essence of this statement is: he's a good old boy who's tougher than a rattlenake and got such a huge dick that your hero worship is a virtual necessity.
Well, lawdy: let's just fry us up a mess o' catfish and hush puppies and shoot us some game. Is this election going to devolve into some big penisfest as we try to outpuff and bluster the Fascists?

I do not know about the rest of the country, but in the South "guts" are a good thing to have. It means that you are courageous and stand up against whatever is thrown at you. Actually I thought the phrase was a national idiom; I guess I was wrong.
