Who has seen "The Corporation"?
I watched it last night...Wow! What an excellent film! Really lays out the twisted history and current realities of corporations around the globe.

If you haven't seen it, check it out! :

1. I'd like to see it. Do any of these "politcal based" films ever
make it into the neighborhood video stores?

I've been watching movies a bit more; News caused my blood pressure to zoom. I went to video shop after shop and can't find ANYTHING for rent or for sale that is political in nature. I did find M. Moore's stuff, but that's all.

I've heard of the Corporation but wasn't there a flick called something like: chasing of the president? Then there's Orwell turns over in his grave..something like that? There may be a few others I've missed. Where does one find these genre of films?

3. I got lucky
A super-cool video store just moved to my town, relocating from the college town 20 miles away. It's chock full of political docs, history docs, science docs, and foreign films. I am blessed!

6. My copy came from Netflix.
"The Corporation" is a great documentary that should be seen by all Americans.

16. Don't ya have to sign up with that org?
I don't watch enough movies to join a monthly flick club...

But thanks for that info. :hi:

13. That is what all of us should do. Supply our local library
with both movies, documentaries and books. They are limited on money and are often censored on what they can buy but they may be willing to use the books and we can help get the word out.

18. I'm very lucky

that my local library has these and other documentaries...20 copies of both the Corporation and Fahrenheit 9/11. And the waiting list for both averages about 100 people, at any given time. They're incredibly popular.

What a shame that so many don't have these and other topics. I think it's a splendid idea to donate books/documentaries!

I thought it was wonderful, btw. Very, very enlightening. If you can believe it, I saw it when it aired on our religious channel (VisionTV).

I had to get it from Netflix, too. I plan on buying two copies, too -- one to donate.

9. I saw it via NetFlix.
It explains how Amerika has been screwed over, in part. The rest of the screwing was by our own Govt. Repubs. and Dems.

11. Be sure to watch the "bonus disk"
I found the bonus content of that film quite valuable, as it really
is powerful to hear wise teachers in person without too much editing.

I'm considering buying it as well.. .its really brilliant work.

19. i bought it for my nephew's 13th birthday--
but watching it with him
i was somewhat disappointed in it's cursory review of so many aspects of corporate malfaescence. While it was very long, I thought someone who didn't already have a liberal point of view about corps, might very well say: "so what if corporations act like sociopaths--that's exactly what they were meant to do. We don't expect them to be like people"

Also, it should have had captioning so my hard of hearing mother could have followed the dialog.

I think, if people want to understand about corporations they should definitely read David Korten's "When Corporations Rule the World"

But I applaud the effort and think it can be very educational for those who have very little understanding of our economic system.
