Zell Miller on "Afterwords" right now bring interviewed by John Anderson. Miller is spinning like a top as you'd expect. I've been watching cspan for years and between the rightwingers they have aon all the time and the fact that freeper land is on their links page i'm feeling very disheartened.

1. Do you have cable or satellite? |
|
If you have satellite, you have Free Speech TV.
I've switched from CSPAN to FSTV, pretty much.

I love 'Democracy Now' and also 'Liberty News.'
These types of programs have been a very healing thing for me - I'm much calmer since having given up watching CNN, etc.
I go to my Democracy for America meetings, and go to a church espousing progressive values (Unitarian-Universalist, with Church of Religious Science thrown in). I hang around with fellow progressives for the most part, and I'm much much happier.
I keep up with right-wing news, but I glance at it; I don't WATCH it anymore.
Much happier.

Democrats on C-Span are a necessary evil. Just watch Brian Lamb, Mr. C-SPAN on Friday mornings and you'll get a taste these networks have always had.
While you'll see a Democrat or Progressive, that's overwhelmed by AEI, Heritage Institute and other Repugnican "think tanks" (oxymoron) that flood the networks with their "programs" and speakers. Long before Grover Norquist and Brent Boezell became a darlings of corporate media, they were regulars on C-SPAN.
I don't mind it as the amount of overall programming means I can bypass the wingnut shows and catch the good offerings they do have. This morning I saw Teddy Kennedy speaking about the Fillibuster/Nuclear option...no way I'd care to hear anything Mr. Zell Haney has to say...even with John Anderson interviewing him.

4. The dedicated a lot of hours this past week |
|
to the "Take Back America" conference. I was surprised, actually, that they gave it so much air time.

7. I guess that's the thing - I glance and see what is up on C-SPAN. |
|
But, unless I trust the particular program itself, so-to-speak, and the speakers thereof, I don't stay there - at the channel, that is.
