Bumper stickers-do they really damage cars?
I know someone might ram into you for putting something on your bumper, but if I put something on there and want to remove it later, what kind of damage am I looking at?

1. None
I have been a proud bumper sticker poster for over 20 years and have never damaged a car.

2. You'll have to find a solvent to take the glue off
without damaging the paint.

Good luck.

Things were easier when cars had real bumpers on them instead of those decorative fibreglas things.

When you want to remove it use rubbing alcohol to remove any glue residue.

No damage at all.

4. It would depend
Some bumperstickers are paperbased and the glue is hard to get off. I had one on my last car that I tried to get off for about 3 years, heh. The vinyl ones pull off a lot easier.

If you put it on a bumper or rear windshield you won't have to worry about the sun fading the paint unevenly, or any kind of paint damage.

6. it can leave a mark because the rest of the paint gets weathered
(rain & sun exposure can change the color of the surrounding paint)....

8. Sticker Removal
This .......

or this .......

Will cut the glue easily and do no harm to your finish.

The hardest part is that some bumber stickers are plastic coated and therefor completely weather (liquid) proof. You have to get the solvent under the plastic in order for it to work.

This stuff is very effective........

but I'm not sure how it will affect car paint. Try it inside a wheel well and see what happens.

10. Cool! I just wanted verification for when my husband
bitches about another sticker. My 2nd one will be my new DU sticker. And FWIW, my car is a '93 Toy Cor, with under 50,000 miles. So there are a lot of miles to go before I sleep, and it's paid off!
